Making Mistakes and Moving Ahead

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, One of the things that prevents spiritual growth is: OUR PAST In last 28 years, I’ve made plenty of mistakes as a pastor. I’ve had to learn from those mistakes & Move on We have to do the same thing in life. We have to: -forget what is behind -strain towards what is ahead Did you notice the word God uses? STRAIN Strain involves pain. Yes, growth is painful. It involves: -getting up early to study -losing sleep -financially giving to help others -making sacrifices This is far from the “feel good theology” taught on TV. Straining doesn't always feel good. It seldom does. In the end: -you're building endurance -you're becoming a stronger person
